Review of Dixie Diners Cinnamon Swirl Cake

It’s low carb day. You have to give up cake when go low carb, right? Wrong.

Dixie Diners is a company that caters to low carb, high protein folks. They have a vast array of products and I eat quite a few of them. One of the more tasty ones is the Cinnamon Swirl Cake.

The mix comes in two packets. You make the cake by adding eggs, butter, water and oil along with the first packet of cake mix. You need to use a mixer to ensure the cake is well mixed.

The second packet is for the cinnamon swirl. When you mix it you can cut it into the cake with a knife.

The cake comes out of the oven smelling great, but adding the remainder of the second packet of mix makes it smell divine.

The taste isn’t what you’d expect with a normal cake. It’s a little tougher and not as airy as a regular cake, but it is tasty. If you do a good enough job with cutting in the swirl, you’ll have cinnamon throughout the cake.
