If you shop at Sams, you know how good the precooked chicken is they sell. The brand is Member’s Mark and the seasoning is provided by Lawrys. Sams makes a ton of chickens during the day and sells them primarily in the evening. It is fascinating when you walk by since you can see the industrial rotisserie ovens they have going. No, it’s not set it and forget.
As an aside, Sams doesn’t donate the leftover food from the day.
Anyway, the chicken itself is juicy and delicious. I don’t know how they seem to keep it cooked and juicy while it sits waiting to be picked up. The spices are flavorful, but not overwhelming. You cannot get the chicken without the spices and there is only one spice choice.
The chicken comes in a plastic container with a black base and clear lid. This is my only complaint about the chicken. The lid never seems to fit tight enough, and if you aren’t careful it’ll be on the seat of your car.
They sell for about $6.00 or so and make it a great dinner choice if you’re busy.
