EveryTrail Pro Review

everytrail-pro-review-photoThis is a review of the app EveryTrail Pro.

I love bike riding, though I do not wear jerseys or hang in a group. I prefer road biking alone, which means taking off for a few hours and seeing the city. One of the things I love to do is share my rides with people, but it is cumbersome to do if you try it manually. This is where EveryTrail Pro comes in.

EveryTrail Pro is the pay version of EveryTrail and offers additional features. The heart of both apps is the ability to track your bike rides through the iPhone’s internal GPS. The program does a great job of this. You start tracking by loading the app and hitting a switch. Simple. As your ride continues you can pause tracking or take photos. When the photos are taken they are geo tagged, so you can reference them later.

The best thing about the app, though, is the slideshow presentation after you finish. Here is an example:

EveryTrail – Find the best Hiking near St. Louis, Missouri

Fantastic.

There are only a few things I don’t like about the app:

  1. Crash recovery – It has happened only once, but the app crashed after a trip. There is no way to recover from this and your trip is lost.
  2. Photo insertion – The app allows you to add photos, but it is cumbersome and you cannot simply upload new photos and slip them in place.

If you’re looking for an easy way to track your rides and looking for a great way to share them, you need to grab EveryTrail.
